Once again I have to post sad news.  My mom's dad, my grandpa, passed away on Saturday night.  I am in the car headed to NJ for the memorial service and funeral.  I want to celebrate his life!  We love him so much and will miss him with all our hearts.  What a wonderful person he was to everyone that knew him!

Today was a great day for a party!  Blake celebrated his 2nd birthday with so many friends and family today.  We had the bounce house set up and lots of other games.  I think everyone had a great time.  My favorite part was the cake :)  It could not have been more perfect for my little Blakie.  He loves giraffes and tigers.  Happy birthday to my sweet little man!

My little guy is so sleepy today!  He was up so late last night and up pretty early this morning.  I had to get a picture of him sleeping too! :)

Today my parents come home from Africa!!!  They have been gone for 2 1/2 weeks and it seems like so much longer.  So much has happened while they have been gone.  I am just so excited to see them today :) I came into town to pick them up from the airport, so I decided to take the boys to the GA Aquarium.  The plan was to spend the day there and be able to pick them up instead of making them ride Marta.  Well, the boys were not digging the aquarium today.  So, we ended up back at home and they are napping!!

I did manage to get one good picture before we left...

My sweet little boy has been so good today.  He is in love with my ipad... the big ipod as he calls it.  So, in order to play, he has to be on his best behavior.  Boy does that work... at least for one afternoon. :)

I have always wanted to get a picture of my boys sleeping, so today is the day!  He looks so innocent!

Today is my baby's 2nd birthday!!  Happy birthday, Blake!  I can't believe it has been two years since this little treasure came into our lives.  I love him so much and feel so blessed to be his mommy!  Love you Blakie! :)

Today was a day full of sadness for my family.  My grandfather, Major General Calvert Benedict, passed away this morning.  He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.  We love him so dearly and will miss him so much.  Please pray for my family and for my grandmother during this very sad time.  However, it is also a time to celebrate his life.  What a wonderful life he had and we are all so blessed to have had so many wonderful years and memories with our G-dad.  We love you G-dad and miss you very much!

Here is an old picture, but I thought it would nice to remember him at his best!  I will treasure this picture forever.  My children are so lucky that they were able to know their Great Grandfather!!

And, what better to bring a smile to my face when I need it the most... my sweet little Blakie!

Today has been another fun day!  My hubby loves to throw the boys in the air to see how high they will look in pictures.  I love taking the pictures, so it is a win win photo session :)

Today could have been a better day.  The boys were very good today though, so I let them pick out a new toy at Target.  My grandma gave them each $10 for Valentine's Day.

46/365 - My birthday!

Today is my 30th birthday!!  It was a great day!  It is not so bad turning 30.  I spent the morning with a friend having lunch and shopping.  Came home to flowers on my doorstep from another wonderful friend.  And then chocolate covered strawberries were delivered to my door from my MOPS club secret sister :) Then my amazing sister took me to get a pedicure... I needed that :)  Then we ended the night having dinner with friends.  My boys also sang happy birthday to me many times today.  It was a good day!

I love the sunshine!  It always makes me feel better when I get outside and enjoy the weather.  The boys love it too.  Daddy took the boys on a bike ride this morning.  Blake needs lots of help, but does not want to stop.  Charlie is all about being outside.  First bikes, then baseball, then he wants to go fishing.  I can't wait for Spring!!!

Today was kinda a weird day.  Not much to say and I did not take my camera out all day.  So I had to settle for a flashy point and shoot camera :)

Today, one of my best friends treated me and the boys to breakfast for my birthday!  She is so sweet!  I am so thankful to have so many wonderful friends in my life!

I am also thankful for at least 5 minutes of the boys playing together and getting along.  Blake is kinda tired of me taking his picture, so this is as good as it gets today. :)

Today has been a great day!  I was worried about the snow, because we had so much planned for today.  Good thing it was just a dusting :)  Charlie had his Valentine's Day party at school this morning.  The kids decorated big heart cookies, I made them and they did not look too much like a heart after they were baked, but I tried!  And then I was off to my MOPS meeting... I LOVE the second Thursday of the month, because I get to spend it with so many great women.  I love you girls!  Then, Charlie had a little "performance" at school.  He did not do much singing, I will just leave it at that :)  And, tonight it will end with my birthday dinner with amazing girl friends!!!

Blake loves everything in twos.  Two skittles, two kisses, two chapsticks... two everything.  Today was no different.  He wanted two snack cups with goldfish :)  My little guy will be two in two weeks!!

Today is my mom's 60th birthday!!  We celebrated with her the whole day!  I hope we made her feel so special, she means the world to all of us.  We love you mom!

The first Saturday of every month, Home Depot has kids project day.  Charlie has been going with his Mimi ever since he was about two and a half years old.  Mimi took Charlie again today and they made a heart shaped shelf!  Charlie is going to paint it and decorate it with Mimi too... maybe she would like to hang it on her wall :)

Tonight we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday will a girls night out.  We went to Sips and Strokes!!!  So much fun!  You bring your own wine and for 3 hours you are instructed on how to paint a certain picture.  The room was full with about 50 people watching one instructor paint a picture called "Guardian Angel."  It is beautiful!  We had such a great time and I know my mom was very surprised!

Today is Wednesday, so that means Grammie and Poppy time!  My boys, and me, love going to visit my parents every week.  We did not do much today, which is a nice change.  I was given a lunch break by my mom and had a great lunch with an old friend from work.  It was so nice to catch up without having the boys to tend to as well.  Blake finally said "I... Love You... too!"  He would normally say "too" in response to someone saying I love you to him.  He is just talking more and more everyday.  I can't believe he will be 2 this month.

I wanted to follow the Joy of Love class, but I have not been very good at following or keeping up with online groups like this.  But I am trying.  So, in hopes to get back on track with Joy of Love, here is "What they do."

Rainy, yucky day today!!  I did have a nice time with a friend for lunch, at Wendy's, it was just nice to not have the boys to interrupt us.  And then dinner with some great ladies!!  The night is ending on a not so good note though... our front door is leaking, again!  I had to rush home to help Chad keep the water off the wood floor while he tried to put a tarp up in the pouring down rain.  Yuck!  

  I only got one picture today and it is of all the towels in our foyer :(
